Madeleine Serrano

Madeleine Serrano was born in the City of New York. She relocated to the Island of Puerto Rico with her family at the age of nine.  She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in the science of Psychology in 1972.  She is married to Waldemar Serrano and has two married daughters, Sandra, and Rebecca, and has three grandchildren, John Tyler, Mikah and Nicolas.

Started working as the first female management trainee in Sears Roebuck Puerto Rico. Madeleine was promoted to Manager at the second largest store in Puerto Rico. She was then promoted as division manager of three ladies departments in the store with excellent results. She was then hired by one of the largest retailers in Puerto Rico, Times Square Stores Corporation, a New York based corporation. She was hired as Buyer/Merchandiser for all their ladies departments at all stores in Puerto Rico, reporting to the Corporate Vice-president in NYC. 

Madeleine relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1982 and started to work for World Disney World at the EPCOT, as Area Supervisor, managing the pavilions of Canada, France and the United Kingdom.

She then started to work for the Orange County School Board as administrative assistant at the North Learning Community for Area Superintendent, Dr. Joseph Joyner, in the area of Discipline. She was responsible for all aspects in dealing with parents, schools, expulsion cases and administrative hearings as it related to Discipline.  She retired in 2003.

Following the Lord’s calling currently is Co-Founder of Bethany World Ministries.  BWM has been able to provide start-up and ongoing assistance to more than 13 Churches/Ministries since 1986. They have ordained individuals who serve in local churches/ministries as well as international. They also provide Pastoral counseling and Marriage seminars thought the US and Latin America.
